Projects

In addition to art of the sellout, I have two main projects.  They act as my main source of AdSense revenue.

They are Met on the Tube and Live and Work in Alberta.  Not really related, I know.  Both were started as experiments but show strong growth.

Project 1: Live and Work in Alberta

Live and Work in Alberta provides information for newcomers to Alberta, Canada.  Right now, you can find information about everything from renting an apartment in Alberta to getting a SIN card.  I try to add more how-to articles on a weekly basis.  The site was (and is) a sort-of testing lab for content writing and SEO tactics, as well as slowly growing into a niche site that addresses a market need.  To date, it is the main source of AdSense revenue.  The site runs on a Joomla core with a few customised components, mods and bots.

Project 2: Met on the Tube

Met on the Tube is a free London missed connections and personals website for people who ride public transport.  It was started for fun, mostly.  Met on the Tube combines my people watching habit with my transit-nerd tendencies.  It runs on a PHP based commercial script called phpmydirectory, re-purposed from its original design as a business directory script.  Met on the Tube is monetised via AdSense and by allowing users to upgrade their listings for £2.00.
